Preventive Maintenance at the National Institutes of Health
JW Environmental is proud to have been able to perform critical preventative maintenance services to water filtration equipment that supplies treated water to the numerous laboratories and care centers within the National Institutes of Health. The completion of this project will help ensure that the water consumed through various medical, analytical, and industrial processes will continue to be of a high quality. A Baltimore County Municipal Water Treatment Facility
JW Environmental was awarded the opportunity to support Baltimore County by performing invasive rebedding and cleaning of two greensand filter vessels at a municipal water treatment facility. The work was completed on an expedited timeline to ensure it was finished before peak summer demand. Each filter was serviced independently to maintain uninterrupted potable water supply to the surrounding community. After servicing each vessel, confirmatory analysis of the effluent verified that the units were performing at their intended capacity. We appreciate the opportunity to help ensure our community continues to have reliable access to clean water.
Remote Monitoring System for the State of Maryland
JW Environmental recently completed another successful installation of a remote monitoring system designed to significantly improve operations at a water treatment plant in the State of Maryland. Installed at a facility at the outskirts of our typical service range, this remote monitoring system will allow for fewer recurring site visits from operator personnel, while adhering to monitoring requirements set forth by the Maryland Department of the Environment. The installation of this remote monitoring system will provide real-time process updates, alarms, and can even be configured to adjust chemical treatment. This monitoring solution will end up saving the end-user significant capital in the long-term, as the purchase of this device will pay for itself in under a year based on the reduction of in-person operator visits to the facility.
